Sculptra in Dallas, TX
Are you seeking to correct loose, sagging skin without the risks and hassle of a surgical procedure? Sculptra® is a minimally invasive, non-surgical dermal filler treatment designed to increase the skin’s volume and collagen levels with all of the benefits of a more involved procedure and none of the risks. The Bloom Medical Spa is proud to offer Sculptra® to the residents of Dallas, Plano, and the surrounding Texas communities for long-lasting natural results.
What Is Sculptra®?
Sculptra® is an FDA-approved injectable dermal filler that has been shown to produce amazing effects after only one treatment, but for best results, Sculptra® requires multiple treatments due to the nature of the product in stimulating your body’s own collagen production. This product was designed for those patients experiencing a loss of skin volume and elasticity due to lowered levels of collagen production in the skin and is a healthy alternative for those who metabolize HA fillers too quickly. When administered by knowledgeable, trained specialists such as our certified nurse injectors, patients will often experience results for up to two years.
Why Choose The Bloom Medical Spa for Sculptra®?
All of our Sculptra® injections are performed by Carolyn Craft, R.N., who is a licensed registered nurse and certified injector.
Benefits of Sculptra®
When compared to other dermal fillers available, the most noted benefit of Sculptra® is the durability of the results. Patients who choose alternative treatments may find themselves needing additional maintenance injections in six months or less. Those patients, however, who receive Sculptra® injections will find that they are able to enjoy their results and renewed facial appearance for two years or more.
Who Is a Good Candidate for Sculptra®?
Almost any adult patient who wishes to soften the lines and wrinkles on their face or increase the amount of volume in their face would make an ideal candidate for Sculptra® treatment. Sculptra® is an amazing alternative to traditional, surgical facelifts and other cosmetic procedures that often require three weeks or more of recovery time.
How Should I Prepare For Sculptra®?
During your consultation, be sure to tell our certified nurse injectors about any allergies or other medical conditions you suffer from that could affect the results of your injections. You will also need to make them aware of any medication that you are currently taking or other injections you have recently received. All patients must avoid alcohol and anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as ibuprofen and aspirin, for at least four days before receiving Sculptra® treatment.
How Is Sculptra® Administered?
A certified nurse injector will begin your treatment by applying a topical anesthetic to the injection site(s) so that any pain or discomfort you may feel during the procedure is nullified. Once the treatment sites are completely numb, they will then inject doses of Sculptra® in the deepest layers of your skin or under the muscles of the face along the bone. All patients will require multiple treatments to achieve their unique desired results.
How is Sculptra® different from other products I have heard of?
Injectable dermal fillers typically contain hyaluronic acid or collagen to fill in lines, wrinkles, and crevices. Sculptra® is unique in that it produces results by thickening the skin and stimulating the body to produce its own collagen.
Do I need to have skin tests done prior to treatment with Sculptra®?
Skin testing is not required prior to beginning treatment with Sculptra®.
Can Sculptra® be combined with other facial fillers?
Many patients choose to combine Sculptra® treatment with other facial fillers. In fact, our certified nurse injectors often customize a patient’s treatment to include the use of different fillers in order to achieve a more natural looking result. Sculptra® is well suited for many areas of the face, including the cheeks, but is not recommended for use on areas such as the lips.
What Ages Are Most Appropriate For Treatment With Sculptra®?
Any patient experiencing a lack of volume in areas such as the cheeks or temples could benefit from treatment with Sculptra®. Younger patients with early fat volume loss but remaining skin elasticity often require fewer sessions. On the other hand, older patients with more advanced aging require multiple treatment sessions to achieve their optimal results.
How Much Does Sculptra® Cost in Dallas?
The cost of Sculptra® varies among patients depending on the injection sites, number of appointments and amount of Sculptra® needed. Additionally, Sculptra® is a cosmetic treatment, which means that it will generally not be covered by your health insurance. All treatments are to be paid at the time of service. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, cashier’s checks, money orders, and cash payments.
