Kybella in Dallas, TX
The Bloom Medical Spa, led by Medical Director and board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. David G. Genecov, now offers Kybella™ to the residents of Dallas, Plano, and the surrounding Texas communities who are looking to eliminate the fat underneath the chin that causes the “double chin”.
What is Kybella™? How does it Work?
Kybella™ is the first and only FDA-approved dermal filler that shapes and defines the chin area, to improve the appearance of submental fullness or the “double chin”. Kybella™ contains the active ingredient deoxycholic acid, which is naturally occurring in the body for the breakdown and absorption of dietary fats. When injected into fat cells beneath the chin, Kybella™ destroys the cells, rendering them unable to accumulate or store fat any longer. Your certified nurse injector will work with you in deciding how many treatments are necessary to meet your needs and cosmetic goals. Once the desired results are achieved, no future treatments are needed.
Why Choose The Bloom Medical Spa for Kybella™?
All of our Kybella™ injections are performed by Carolyn Craft, R.N., a licensed registered nurse and certified injector.
Why Choose Kybella™?
According to clinical surveys, 8 out of 10 people with a “double chin” feel self-conscious about their facial appearance and profile. The fat cells that accumulate in the chin and neck areas are not usually affected by improvements in diet and exercise. As the skin loses its elasticity and firmness with age, this fat content becomes more noticeable. Many individuals wishing they could do something to improve the look of their chin and neck are often hesitant to put themselves through a surgical, invasive procedure. With Kybella™, these patients now have the opportunity to improve their appearance with little to no recovery time and no surgery required.
How Many Treatments Are Required? What Should I Expect?
The number of treatment sessions needed will depend on the desired results, as well as the specific needs and goals of each individual patient. Twelve to twenty separate injections are typical in the average treatment course in order to obtain the patient’s desired end result. These injections are typically delivered over a span of two to three separate office visits, with each visit at a one-month interval. Those patients with an extreme amount of fat stored in the chin area may require as many as 50 injections with office visits scheduled every few months. Treatment sessions generally take around 15 minutes and results are visible after only a few treatment sessions.
Kybella™ Isn’t Approved For Sagging Skin, But Will It Still Help?
Kybella™ was designed for the purpose of melting fat in the chin and neck areas, not to correct sagging skin. However, as a result of having less fat in the treated area, some clinical trial participants reported seeing a slight tightening effect as well.
Can Kybella™ Melt Fat From Other Parts Of The Body?
Kybella™ is currently only FDA-approved for the removal of excess fat in the chin area. It is not designed to be effective in other areas, such as the arm, legs, and torso. Some evidence has been shown to support the use of Kybella™ to treat very small areas of fat storage, such as under the eyes, but doing so poses significant safety risks. More research is needed to determine what, if any, other treatment may be effective in fighting fat in such sensitive areas.
How Much Does Kybella™ Cost in Dallas?
Kybella™ is priced similarly to existing dermal fillers. The ultimate cost of Kybella™ depends on how much each patient needs and how many treatments. All treatments are to be paid at the time of service. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, cashier’s checks, money orders, and cash payments.
